The South African Women’s Under-19 cricket team have retained their unbeaten run at the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) T20 World Cup in Malaysia.
They beat Ireland by seven wickets in their first match of the Super Six stage at the Borneo Cricket Ground in Sarawak and are top of Group Two.
In a match reduced to 10 overs per side, Ireland who opted to bat, were bowled out for 35 in the last over of their innings.
The Young Proteas needed just more than six overs to chase down their target, losing three wickets in the process.
It was their fourth successive victory of their campaign.
Their next Super Six match is against the United States on Tuesday at the same venue.
