SA goes to the forum under the Government of National Unity (GNU) and also as president of the G20.

The country is looking to prioritise economic growth through partnerships and collaboration.

Amongst those heading to Davos will be Trade Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau.

Tau says, “A message about corporation between government and business…the reality that we’ve been working on structural reforms and they are beginning to yield the results to break regulatory impediments that need it in terms of structural reforms, but also the partnerships that we have with business in addressing structural reforms in our country the extent to which we’ve seen private sector participation in different elements of the infrastructure means the progress that would made what to the electricity environment. Overall energy situation progress with regards to transport and logistics, we think that we are able to present a message that’s positive.”- Reporting by Katlego Legodi and Tshepo Mongoai.
