Deputy President Paul Mashatile will on Thursday meet his Chinese counterpart, Vice President Han Zheng, at Tuynhuys in Cape Town.
They are co-chairing the ninth South Africa–China Bi-National Commission (BNC). Established in 2000, the BNC was created to consolidate diplomatic, economic and sectoral cooperation between the two nations.
The discussions will also provide an opportunity for both sides to reflect on evolving geopolitical developments
The strong diplomatic relations between South Africa and the People’s Republic of China are further strengthened through reciprocal state visits, exchange visits across government ministries, Parliaments and provinces.
Tomorrow, I will host His Excellency, the Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Han Zheng at Tuynhuys, Cape Town in the Western Cape Province.

The BNC is the highest structured bilateral mechanism for consolidating diplomatic, economic, and sectoral cooperation between the two nations.
