The Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture is wishing the national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, success in their game on Sunday night. Bafana Bafana takes on Cameroon at the El Barid Stadium in their last 16 knockout encounter.
Committee Chairperson Joe McGluwa has described the game as the big moment for the country, saying as the committee they are fully behind Bafana Bafana.
“ This is a big moment for South Africa. We are all nervous but I must say that we are happy and we are excited too. On behalf of the Portfolio Committee of Sports, Arts and Culture and the entire nation we would like to wish Bafana Bafana well on the game today. We would like to say to them from Cape Town to Cairo, from the Indian oceans to the Antlantic shores, South Africa is behind you. Bafana Bafana go out and play with pride. Play with heart and let the rest of Mzansi be heard across the continent. Good luck to Bafana Bafana.”
United Democratic Movement (UDM) Member of Parliament Nqabayomzi Kwankwa has also wished to Bafana Bafana well in their match today against Cameroon today. The national team is taking on Cameroon, the Indomitable Lions, in the knock-out stages. Nkwankwa elaborates.
“ The UDM wishes our national soccer team Bafana Bafana, our pride, enjoy all the very best as they take on Cameroon on the AFCON last sixteen today. We have watched our boys representing our nation with pride, passion, determination throughout the group stages and as they step on the field today we once more look out to a thrilling nail-biting encounter. We believe whole heartedly on their ability to rise to the occasion. As the nation, we stand united behind our boys and technical team, and we cheered on to victory.”
There has been no shortage of rain since we arrived in Rabat, Morocco, on Friday.
