Bafana Bafana captain, Ronwen Williams seen with his CAF award.
The family of Bafana Bafana Captain Ronwen Williams continues to see him as a true inspiration to the younger generation of goalkeepers in South Africa.
The 32-year-old recently scooped the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year Award.
Williams is also the Mamelodi Sundowns Player of the Year and one of the biggest stars in the PSL.
Williams’ family in Gqeberha have expressed great joy on his success.
“That achievement is not for Ronwen, it is for every South African. It is there not only to strengthen the Bafana Bafana team, but the PSL team as well,” says one of the family members.
Another family member says, “I cannot think that this is a combination of hard work and sacrifice because I wouldn’t be able to do even a quarter of the effort that he puts in and that is what happens when you put in a lot of effort, your return will multiply.”
