Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala says they will provide alternative water supply to the affected areas.
Shabalala adds that the maintenance at the Palmiet system will be conducted at 6 am until 4 pm.
“For 10 hours pumping will be reduced to 67% and this will result in poor pressure to no water for residents. The following Johannesburg systems will be affected; Sandton systems, Midrand systems, the Alexandra Park Reservoir, South Hills Tower, Linksfield reservoir and the Randjieslaagte Reservoir,” says Shabalala.
