Electricity and Energy Minister Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is expected to visit the Matla Power Station in Mpumalanga today after a transformer exploded yesterday.
The explosion resulted in the injury of nine employees, while Unit 6 of the power station incurred damages.
Ramakgopa is expected to inspect the damages and receive a report on the implications of the situation and recovery plans.
He will also pay a visit to the injured employees in hospital.
Minister @Kgosientsho_R will be at Matla Power Station today, 13 December 2024, 14h00pm, following the transformer explosion that occurred yesterday at approximately 5:00 PM, which resulted in injuries to nine employees and damages to Unit 6.
