An Eskom power plant.
Minister of Electricity and Energy Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says Eskom is working hard to end load reduction in the country.
Ramokgopa was addressing hundreds of community members at Nkowankowa Community Hall outside Tzaneen in Limpopo.
He says four provinces are still experiencing load reduction.
He adds that Tzaneen experiences the most load reduction and they have started working to end it.
“The first one is Gauteng, the second province is Limpopo, third province where we experience load reduction is Mpumalanga at 20% and the fourth province is KZN. 95% of load reduction within the country is in these four provinces. Tzaneen leads the country with load reduction.”
In Nkowankowa, Tzaneen, delivering on our promise to end load-reduction. We should eliminate load-reduction in this area in 3 months. Already fixed 4 of 8 feeders. We are coming to your area soon. We are working throughout December. #EndLoadReduction pic.twitter.com/0IhjXa43Sp
