Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie.
President Cyril Ramaphosa says he’s waiting for a concrete report over alleged misconduct by two members of his cabinet, Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe and Sport, Arts and Culture Minister, Gayton McKenzie.
Tolashe allegedly failed to disclose a donation of two vehicles to the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL).
It is also alleged that she gifted the vehicles to her children.
Convicted fraudster and gang leader, Jermaine Prim, alleged that McKenzie and other members of his party, the Patriotic Alliance (PA), are proxies for the so-called “Big 5” drug cartel in Cape Town.
He accused McKenzie of active involvement in selling mandrax while serving in Parliament.
Ramaphosa spoke to the media on the sidelines of his visit to Kusile Power Station in Mpumalanga today.
“These matters are still really going to be outlined to me more fully and properly and thereafter I’ll be able to make up my mind. So, the information has been coming in drips and drabs, and as you know, in order for me to take a decision, I have to have the full information. So that will come in time.”
Ramaphosa awaits reports on Tolashe and McKenzie:
