Spinner Senuran Muthusamy in action
After a rather uneventful opening day of the first test against Pakistan in Lahore, the South African men’s cricket team turned the tables on the home side.
Pakistan, who won the toss, resumed their first innings on 313 for five, lost their last five wickets for the addition of just 65 runs in the first session on day two.
Left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy was the destroyer-in-chief.
He took four of the five wickets to fall and finished with six for 117 in 32 overs, his best ever figures in a test match.
Prenelan Subrayen wrapped up the innings with the assistance of Muthusamy, when they combined to dismiss Salman Agha for 93 and the home side was all out for 378.
