Proteas go to lunch on 9/0 in test match against Pakistan

The South African cricket team, through left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj, has staged a remarkable fightback in the first session of day two of the second test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan, who won the toss, resumed their first innings on 259 for the loss of five wickets and added in excess of 50 runs in the first hour without losing another wicket.

But Maharaj then wreaked havoc, taking the last five wickets to help bowl out the home team for 333.

The 35-year-old finished with figures of seven for 102 in 42 overs and four deliveries. In reply, the Proteas went to lunch on nine without loss.
