The state is opposing bail.

The state and the defense lawyers concluded their closing arguments, on Monday. The accused’s lawyer, Advocate Isaac Mokgopo, said that his client should be granted bail as he’s presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Mokgopo also told the court that Shebe Maburna needs regular check-ups, as he was involved in a car crash that left him hospitalised for more than two months.

The state is opposing bail arguing that the accused is a repeat offender and has committed most offences while he was out on bail.
