Police launch manhunt after three bodies found in Mitchells Plain


Police have launched a manhunt for suspects after three bodies were found inside a vehicle in Lentegeur in Mitchells Plain on the Cape Flats on Wednesday morning.

The bodies, which are of two men and a woman, all in their twenties, have gunshot wounds.

The killings are suspected to be gang-related.

“Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape, Lieutenant General Thembisile Patekile, has condemned the killings, saying gangsterism has no place in our communities and that police will continue to clamp down on those behind such violence. Detectives are pursuing the suspects, and the public is urged to report any information to Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or through the MySAPS mobile application,” says police spokesperson, Andre Traut.
