Police hunt suspects after woman shot dead in Vanderbijlpark


Gauteng police have confirmed that they are hunting for suspects who shot and killed a 40-year-old woman at a tyre fitment centre in Vanderbijlpark, south of Johannesburg, on Tuesday.

Police say the suspects were travelling in a VW Polo and fled the scene at high speed after the shooting. The motive for the murder remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.

“Gauteng police have opened a murder docket following a shooting incident at a garage in Vanderbijlpark yesterday. A 40-year-old woman was shot and killed and the suspects fled. No arrests at this stage and investigations are continuing,” says Gauteng police spokesperson Noxolo Khweza.
