A man’s testkit and R50000 reward has been issued regarding a school incident
Police in Cape Town have released an identikit of a man wanted in connection with allegations of malicious intent.
According to police spokesperson Joseph Swaartbooi, the suspect approached an aftercare teacher at an educational institution in Bellville, asking about the whereabouts of a learner, who happens to be the child of a police officer.
“Reports suggested that the person was armed when he gained entrance at a local institute of learning, in Bellville, with malicious intent. He approached the aftercare teacher and enquired about the whereabouts of a learner, who happens to be the child of a police member,” says Swaartbooi.
He says the learner, however, was already collected on the day in question.
“It is imperative that the person be traced and brought in for questioning. A reward of up to R50 000 is offered for any information on the whereabouts of the person of interest,” adds Swaartbooi.
