Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni says suspects are linked to several CIT heists both in KZN and Gauteng .
“What transpired is that the team from KwaZulu-Natal, a multidisciplinary team, was following information on the cash-in-transit heist on the 2nd of May this year, where a G4S security vehicle was bombed and ultimately a security guard was shot and killed, and then, thanks to the technology we’re using, they followed that information systemically up until it led them to Gauteng,” says Mthombeni.
