North West Businessman Brown Mogotsi speaks to the SABC News on October 6, 2025.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that they are conducting an investigation at the business premises of North West businessman Brown Mogotsi in Seweding outside Mahikeng on Thursday evening.
National Police Spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says the visit is part of ongoing investigations that have been discussed before the Mandlanga Commission and Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee.
Mogotsi told SABC News that he was aware that police were at his business but that he was not present.
Some of the local residents didn’t take kindly to the police action, blaming the African National Congress for compromising Mogotsi’s safety ahead of his yet-to-be-confirmed appearance before the Madlanga Commission.
In July, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lt-Gen. Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi accused Mogotsi and his alleged associate, Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, of being part of the push to disband the KZN Political Killings Task Team.
