Microlight crash in sugarcane field

A pilot has survived a microlight crash, south of the Groutville Airfield, north of Durban.
In a statement, IPSS Medical Rescue says they responded after receiving reports from passing motorists who had witnessed the crash this morning.
Emergency response teams searched the sugarcane fields before locating the pilot.
IPSS says he was stabilised on scene after sustaining serious injuries.
He was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
