The pre-trial hearing of three accused in the February 2020 theft at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm is expected to start today in the Modimolle Regional Court in Limpopo.

Immanuela David, Floriana Joseph and Ndilinasho Joseph allegedly broke into Ramaphosa’s farm and stole over $580 000 stuffed in a sofa.

Accused number one, David, was denied bail as he’s deemed a flight risk.

The three accused face charges of housebreaking, theft and conspiracy to commit housebreaking with intent to steal.

Siblings Floriana and Ndilinasho Joseph have each been released on R5 000 and R10 000 bail respectively.

Accused number two, Froliana, was a domestic worker at the farm.

Froliana is suspected to have tipped off the other accused about the cash on the farm.
