PAC holds its Elective Conference in Gqeberha ahead of 2026 elections

The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) is holding its Elective Conference in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.

The conference, which started on Thursday, will end on Sunday.

Delegates will elect new leadership and review the party’s policies.

The PAC, which is part of the Government of National Unity, is also looking to review its constitution, which was last done in 2000.

PAC secretary-general, Apa Pooe says they are going to restructure the party.

“We are just going to refile how the party is going to be structured. We will also look into policies in the organisation how do they adapt to the current circumstances. When the policies were done, we never anticipated that there will be a coalition government on national or local level, now whatever we do needs to respond to that present reality.”
