Police say over R7-million worth of counterfeit and illicit goods have been seized this week.
The takedown operation targeted shops in Pretoria central and Centurion.
Over 2 000 items were seized including high-end counterfeit clothing, shoes, handbags, caps, watches, sunglasses and belts.
Police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk says, “Last month, the team, with support from various internal and external stakeholders, seized counterfeit goods worth more than R43 million across different parts of the country.”
