Over 100 overloaded vehicles taken off the road in Limpopo

Limpopo’s Transport Department has taken more than 100 vehicles off the road due to overloading and unroadworthy at the Mantsole Traffic Control Centre. 

The route links Gauteng, North West and Limpopo as well as the Groblers Bridge into Botswana.

Department spokesperson Matome Taueatsoala says the vehicles include buses, minibus taxis and light delivery vehicles.  

Taueatsoala says their ‘operation malayisha’ will continue throughout the festive season.
