The case against four men accused of the murder of a DA councillor has been postponed at the Howick Magistrate’s Court.
The fifth accused, 26-year-old Thabo Mathonsi-Chonco has abandoned bail.
One of the accused is the Amanxamalala Traditional Authority’s, Inkosi Simphiwe Zuma, who was expected to make his bail application.
He is one of the five suspects linked to the murder of the DA Chief Whip in the Umngeni Municipality, Nhlalayenza Ndlovu.
He was gunned down at his home in Mpophomeni near Howick in December 2023.
Zuma, who is Ndlovu’s uncle, was arrested together with 26-year-old Thabo Mathonsi-Chonco last week.
The DA is today joining the Ndlovu family at the Howick Magistrates Court where two more suspects appeared in connection with the murder of late DA uMngeni Chief Whip, Cllr Nhlalayenza Ndlovu.
