Olorato Mongale remembered at memorial service in Free State

The memorial service of Olorato Mongale is under way in Bloemfontein in the Free State.

Mongale was brutally murdered last week, and her body was discovered in Lombardy West, near Alexandra township, north of Johannesburg.

The SAPS has confirmed that it is conducting an investigation into a syndicate that lures women under the false pretense of romantic intentions.

It is alleged that the perpetrators approach the victims and ask to take them out on a date then later rob them.

A family friend, Sinki Leshabane says they will miss Olorato.

“Those people who killed Olorato, they killed part of Pops because when we went to Popinyane’s events Olorato was always the MC and always had a vibe. She was teaching Moipone, Poppy all the dance moves. She used to make them follow the trends. What a beautiful soul,” says Leshabane.
