Grade 11 learner from the Martie du Plessis Special Needs School, Kamogelo Baukudi.
A police officer is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court in the Free State for a bail application in connection with Kamogelo Baukudi’s kidnapping case.
Philemon Adoon is facing charges of extortion and kidnapping.
Two men posing as police officers kidnapped 19-year-old Baukudi, who is a Grade 11 learner from a Bloemfontein school for children with special needs, last Thursday.
On the day of his disappearance, his driver fetched the pupil from school.
On their way home, two men driving a bakkie with blue lights, informing them that their car was suspected of delivering drugs, stopped them.
They were then separated, with Baukudi getting into the car driven by the men.
Along the way, a truck allegedly went between his driver’s car and the car driven by the men, then disappeared.
The search for Baukudi continues.
Police say more arrests will be made.
