Warrant Officer Sambudla testified that a team of detectives investigated the whereabouts of the firearms that were allegedly found at accused No.: 6, Mawethu Nomdlembu’s homestead at Ntlenzi village in Flagstaff.

Today, Accused Number 6 Defense Attorney, Jongikhaya Hanise, cross-examined Warrant Officer Sambudla, trying to find discrepancies in his testimony. This was after Sambudla testified that Zenande Paya, a former accused turned state witness, had pointed out the accused’s homestead at Ntlezi village in Flagstaff – a homestead where three AK-47s and a hunting rifle were found.

The attorney cast doubts on whether the investigation team followed proper constitutional procedures to execute the interrogation and the recovery of the firearms.

Meanwhile, the court was packed to its capacity.

Family members and the community want to know why 18 people were killed at Ngobozana.

The case has been postponed to the 27th of August.
