NW MEC hands mobile clinics to enhance access to healthcare

North West Health MEC, Sello Lehari, has handed over six mobile clinic trucks at the Bojanala District Municipality to enhance access to healthcare services in rural areas.

Although mobile clinic trucks formed part of Nelson Mandela International day activities, the department says this is part of continuing efforts to strengthen service delivery in areas without permanent healthcare facilities.

Provincial health spokesperson, Lucas Mothibedi, says, “We are moving with speed to ensure that we provide quality healthcare services to areas without permanent or fixed healthcare services. We have used the Mandela Day and we will continue to use the Mandela month to find ways to ensure we enhance service delivery, particularly healthcare services as espoused and envisioned by the former state president Nelson Mandela.”
