Kristoffer Reitan is the new Nedbank Golf Challenge champion.
Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan has become the sixth successive foreign winner of Africa’s major, the Nedbank Golf Challenge, at the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City.
The 27-year-old captured his second career win on the DP World Tour and his second of the year, beating South Africa’s Jayden Schaper and Dan Bradbury of England by one stroke.
Reitan had the luxury of a five-stroke lead at the start of the final round and didn’t need to play attacking golf. And when Schaper and Bradbury started applying the pressure, he held his nerve down the stretch.
He carded a level-par 72 for a total of 271 – 17-under-par.
Bradbury carded a 66, and Schaper, one of three South Africans in the top five, a 68.
