North West family receives house as Mandela Day gift

Mankwe GameTrackers in Rustenburg in the North West province, in partnership with Sun City, has in the spirit of International Mandela Day, handed a house to the Rankgadi family.

Three houses for three separate families were built.

Two more houses are expected to be handed over later.

One of the recipients is a 94-year-old elderly man, who stays with his school going grandchildren.

It is reported that the family is struggling to make ends meet.

Chief Executive Officer of Mankwe GameTrackers Christopher Thai says they are happy they provided shelter for the family.

“We took a leap of faith and decided to invest in the building of shelter for the family. To us it’s not just about shelter, it’s a story of hope, and it is the story of this restoring dignity for the family to make sure that they have a lasting Legacy.

As Mankwe GameTrackers, we want to have a lasting impact on the community.”
