Sergeant Fannie Nkosi has testified that he has no reason to lie about suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya.

Lieutenant-General Sibiya has disputed Nkosi’s evidence that he is the one who issued the instruction to forward the arrest warrant of entertainment blogger Musa Khawula to Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.

General Sibiya further told the Commission that it was improper for Nkosi to forward the warrant to Matlala.

Nkosi told Commissioner Sandile Khumalo that maybe General Sibiya does not recall issuing him with the instruction.

“I’ve got no reason to lie about General Sibiya, so it is General Sibiya who’s not being truthful. To put it in a respectful manner, say maybe he forgot.”
