Higher Education and Training Minister, Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane.
Rise Mzansi has joined the DA in welcoming the removal of Higher Education Minister Nobuhle Nkabane.
President Cyril Ramaphosa yesterday appointed Nkabane’s deputy, Buti Manamela, as the Minister and Nomusa Dube-Ncube as one of the deputies.
The party says Nkabane must still be held accountable as a member of Parliament by the Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests.

Rise Mzansi spokesperson Mabine Seabi says Nkabane needs to be held accountable for misleading Parliament on the SETA board chair nomination panel.
“Nkabane epitomised political arrogance and showed an unrepentant disregard for what it means to be in service to the people of SA. While she no longer serves as a member of the executive, she must still be held accountable as a member of parliament on the Joint Committee of Ethics and Members’ Interests for misleading parliament and the people of SA.”
“We trust that the long serving Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Buti Manamela, who has been elevated to the position of Minister will bring much needed stability to the portfolio while ensuring that its R142 million budget contributes to educating and training a new generation of leaders who will create jobs, build the economy, and contribute to the intellectual and knowledge base of the country.”
