NGO in Kimberley takes part in 70 km walk for school shoes campaign

The Kimberley based Bachelor Foundation took part in the 70 kilometre walk for school shoes campaign. The shoes will be donated to a local primary school.

The Foundation was started in 2018. It mainly focuses on education and keeping vulnerable children in schools.

The Bachelor Foundation believes that if different stakeholders can join hands and work together – many lives would be changed.

Founder, Jakwe Khulule says even though there is a lot that needs to be done – he is happy with the positive work they have accomplished so far.

“It’s the seventh year of the initiative. We are pleased because we have serviced a lot of disadvantaged schools by giving learners shoes. But we are not only looking at shoes, we are also looking at school uniform. So, the dream is to elevate it to uniforms as well.”
