The National Freedom Party (NFP) has released a statement citing that it has resolved to pull out from the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Government of Provincial Unity (GPU) with immediate effect.
The statement was released as the party today began the disciplinary process to punish its suspended sole member of the KZN Legislature, Mbali Shinga.
Shinga, who is the party’s provincial chairperson, appeared before the party’s disciplinary tribunal for voting against the uMkhonto weSizwe Party’s (MKP) failed motion of no confidence in Premier Thami Ntuli last month.
This after the party leadership had decided to vote along with the MKP and the Economic Freedom Fighters to collapse the GPU.
