New witness to testify in Mbenenge sexual harassment tribunal

1 minute

The Judicial Conduct Tribunal investigating sexual harassment allegations against Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge resumes today with a new witness expected to testify.

Neil Naidoo, an official from the Office of the Chief Justice, is scheduled to appear before the Tribunal. He is expected to present testimony related to CCTV footage that will be submitted as evidence.

The footage is expected to support previously submitted photographs of the Mthatha High Court, which have been used during witness testimony from the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court last week.

Mbenenge is accused of sexually harassing Judges’ Secretary Andiswa Mengo through in-person encounters and electronic communication between June 2021 and November 2022.
