The Standing Committee on Appropriations met for consideration and adoption of the draft reports on the Division of Revenue Bill at Parliament, Cape Town on June 23, 2025.
The National Assembly will this afternoon consider the report of the Standing Committee on Appropriations on the Division of Revenue Bill.
The Bill outlines how government revenue is divided between national, provincial and local spheres of government.
It was approved by the House last year despite being opposed by some opposition parties.
The sitting will be at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Early this month, the Fiscal Framework and Revenue Proposals were passed by 268 votes against 88 while two MPs abstained.
The Fiscal Framework allowed for the implementation of a general fuel levy increase.
