The National Assembly has recommended three names of candidates to be appointed as Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) Commissioners.
The nominees are Joyce Pitso, Judge Dhana Pillay and Mosotho Moepya, who is the current chairperson of the IEC.
They were approved on Tuesday, and their names have been sent to President Cyril Ramaphosa for appointment.
They were interviewed by an independent panel chaired by Chief Justice Mandisa Maya.
The President appoints members of the Commission for a term of seven years, with one of the vacant positions having to be filled by a Judge of the High Court.
