The crash scene where seven people lost their lives and one seriously injured following a tragic head-on collusion in the early hours of this morning between Machadodorp and Belfast, Mpumalanga has been cleared for traffic.
Authorities say investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collision, but preliminary investigations point out dangerous overtaking and speeding might have been the cause.
Community Safety, Security and Liaison spokesperson Moeti Mmusi says the accident disrupted traffic.
“This led to traffic congestions on the westbound on the N4 toll road for several hours,” says Mmusi.
