Kaaiman’s Pass is closed in both directions after a truck collision.
Traffic on the N2 is backed up for kilometres following a major crash on the Kaaimans Pass near Wilderness in the Western Cape, where two trucks have been involved in a head-on collision.
Motorists have been urged to be patient, as there are no alternative routes available.

“Kaaimans Pass is closed to traffic in both directions and will remain closed until further notice. No estimated time of reopening is available at this stage, and no alternative routes are currently available. The public is urged to avoid the area and to exercise patience while emergency teams attend to the incident,” says George Municipality Spokesperson, Debra Sauer.
The road closure will remain in place for at least another two hours.
