The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Northern Cape says strong action should be taken against those involved in alleged racism at the Duineveld High School, Upington.
On Monday, the provincial Education Department said it was investigating an incident being dubbed “blackface” allegedly involving a teacher at the school.
A preliminary report is due to be released on Wednesday.

EFF provincial leader Shadrack Tlhaole says they will take a firm decision on the case. “We don’t need to close that institution, but we need to take a firm decision. We need to pressure the Department of Education, MEC and Minister and all other political parties that we should not tolerate racism in South Africa.”
