Outside the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court.
The case involving four suspects linked to the disappearance of journalist Sibusiso Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhuli resumes today at the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court.
The accused — Samuel Mogongwe, Lucky Sikhosana, Sello Uoane, and Thato Madisha — appeared in court, with some attempting to avoid media attention.
Last week, the court heard that Uoane has two previous convictions for robbery with aggravating circumstances and attempted murder.
He informed the court that he was sentenced to eight years for each offence in 2017 and is currently out on parole, which ends in May 2026. Accused three and four have abandoned their bail applications.
Magistrate Andre du Preez confirmed that the state has added two murder charges to the case.
Du Preez said, “Charge number 3, the one of murder against all four of you. It is alleged that on the 18th of February 2025 at or near KwaMhlanga in the Thembisile Hani sub district, it is alleged that all four of you unlawfully and intentionally killed Aserie Ndlovu by shooting him with firearms.”
