A case of murder against a 36-year-old Ethiopian national has been postponed to next Monday the Ganyesa Magistrate’s Court in North West.
Dawit Daniel Tsefaye appeared in court today and was remanded in custody.
He allegedly stabbed his 28-year-old girlfriend to death last Thursday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh says the suspect handed himself over to the police following the incident.
“According to information received, a 28 year old female was allegedly stabbed to death, then the 36-year-old boyfriend came to the police station to report the incident. He’s an Ethiopian citizen. According to information received he then left with police to go to his house where they seized a knife, suspected to have been used in the commission of this crime.
