Police are investigating an arson case after a school caught fire in Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga.
The fire has completely destroyed the administration block of the Demalani secondary school in the Thembisile Hani West Circuit.
The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday.
Provincial Education spokesperson Gerald Sambo says they have dispatched officials to the school to assess the extent of damage.
“This incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, the 1st of March, 2025, and the preliminary report indicates that the entire administration was completely gutted by fire. A case of arson has been opened with the Kwaggafontein police station, who would investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
