Members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
The Community Safety, Security and Liaison Department in Mpumalanga has sent condolences to the family of the member of the South African National Defense Force (SANDF) member who lost his life when the vehicle they were traveling in was swept away in Nkomazi River, Komatipoort.
One body was retrieved on Friday. Operations are underway to find the other missing member.

MEC Jackie Macie says they are heartbroken to lose one of their own in this way.
Macie says plans to improve the bridge were made, but they were abandoned .
“It’s a cause for concern for the department. We want to send our condolences to the family of the one that was recovered yesterday. We are still searching for the other member, but by indication now, it shows that individual might not be still alive,” says Macie.
