The Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga has postponed the murder case of a police officer Nyiko Nyathi. 42-year-old Nyathi is facing two counts of murder.
She allegedly killed her husband, Lawrence Mashego and Victoria Lebyane in February 2024.
Mashego was kidnapped by a group of armed men at his house. He was taken to another house, where the 44-year-old Lebyane was found.
The suspects took cash and two vehicles before killing Mashego and Lebyane.
Four suspects were later arrested. One pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 77 years.
Nyathi handed herself to the police earlier this week. She will appear in court next week on Monday.
