City of Tshwane Executive Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya addressed a media briefing in Pretoria.
City of Tshwane Executive Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya has welcomed findings of alleged corruption and tender irregularities within the metro, revealed during recent proceedings at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
The City has come under intense scrutiny following testimony at the Commission that implicated senior municipal officials in alleged collusion linked to multimillion rand security and waste management tenders.
In developments over the past week, the metro’s Corporate and Shared Services MMC and Action SA Councillor Kholofelo Morodi was placed on special leave.
The decision followed allegations that Morodi shared confidential internal documents related to municipal land lease tenders with Sergeant Fannie Nkosi.
Moya has emphasised that the administration will not interfere with investigations and remains committed to accountability and ethical governance.
She also reveals that during the 2024/25 financial year, 146 City officials were implicated in investigations involving alleged fraud, corruption and the misuse of public funds.
