Police Minister Mnchunu says more arrests are imminent in the Zanzou nightclub assault case. This after a 41-year-old man was arrested in Yeoville, Johannesburg, last night.
He has been charged with compelled rape, assault with intent to cause bodily harm and crimen injuria.
Three young men opened a case this week after a video of them being physically and sexually assaulted at the Hatfield club surfaced.
Speaking in Pretoria at the release of the 2024 third quarter crime stats, Mchunu said: “We welcome the arrest of one of the suspects in the Zanzou case and we commend our law enforcement agencies for their diligent work. Investigations are still underway, and we anticipate more arrests.”
