Deputy Secretary-General Nomvula Mokonyane at the late David Mabuza’s home with his family,
The ANC’s first Deputy Secretary-General, Nomvula Mokonyane, says the late former Deputy President David Mabuza did not betray the ANC even after his resignation.
Mabuza resigned two years ago following the election of his predecessor and current Deputy President, Paul Mashatile.
Mokonyane visited Mabuza’s family in Barberton, Mpumalanga, yesterday. He died on Thursday at the age of 64.
Mokonyane says Mabuza loved and lived the ANC; therefore, he deserved to be celebrated by all peace-loving South Africans.
“He was committed to work together with the ANC and make the ANC to recover from the setback because he was there in trenches and he was there even now, no condemnation unless some people who falsified himself as David Mabuza, DD never spoke outside the organisation, DD never came out to criticise the organisation that at end of the day must stand in public an make people to believe in.”

Former Deputy President David Mabuza will be laid to rest next week Saturday in his home province of Mpumalanga. The ANC in the province is expected to host three memorial services on Thursday in the regions of Ehlanzeni, Nkankgala and Gert Sibande.#MorningLive#sabcnews
