Modack, co-accused face pre-trial in R40 million fraud case


A pre-trial conference against alleged gang-boss, Nafiz Modack, is expected to be held in the High Court in Cape Town on Friday.

The matter relates to alleged fraud of over R40 million involving the Revenue Service.

He’s been charged with a number of co-accused, including his mother and bookkeeper.

Modack is already serving seven years in jail for a corrupt relationship with a senior police officer.

He’s also on trial for the murder of anti-gang-unit detective Charl Kinnear.

The trial in the SARS fraud matter has been set down for January 26, 2026.
