Modack case postponed after accused Toufeek Brown falls ill

The case of alleged gang boss, Nafiz Modack, has been postponed until Thursday in the High Court in Cape Town, due to one of the accused, Toufeek Brown, falling ill.

Modack, along with 14 co-accused, face over a hundred charges, including the murder of top cop, Charl Kinnear.

This week, the court has been hearing evidence on the pinging of cell phones by one of the accused, Zane Killian.

The court has heard that at least five code names were used by Killian when he used pings to track people, allegedly on behalf of Nafiz Modack. This emerged during cross-examination.

Judge Robert Henney reluctantly agreed to the postponement.
