MKP launches election strategy, policies to be refined in June

The uMkhonto Wesizwe Party (MKP) has unveiled its election strategy in Johannesburg, with its policies up for review and refinement in June.

This came out at the end of the party’s two-day meeting of its High Command held in Durban.

The meeting resolved that despite the support that the party is enjoying countrywide, it needs strengthening.

The party’s Secretary-General, Sibonelo Nomvalo, says the leadership has adopted a clear road map with defined timelines, including immediate consultations across all provinces.

“We will start with the establishment of election structures, a national policy conference in June, a national manifesto launch rally at the beginning of the election period, and it will be followed by the Siyathata Rally on the eve of the elections. The policy formulation sub-committee will focus on refined policies, and the chairperson will be comrade Lucky Montana, and the deputy chair will be comrade Khanyilsile Litchfield-Tshbalala”, he says.
